Na 17 jaar lang in de markt bekend te hebben gestaan als Hemels Publishers, is het tijd voor een nieuwe naam: Hemels Customer Media.

Hoofddorp – Sanoma Media Netherlands is acquiring Hemels Publishers, one of the leading custom media companies in The Netherlands. This acquisition enforces Sanoma's position in the fast-growing custom media market. Hemels Publishers will remain based in Hilversum, with its full staff. Jeroen Hemels, General Director of Hemels Publishers, will start reporting to the COO Print of Sanoma Media Netherlands, Henk Scheenstra.

The U&UWV December Special produced by Hemels for the employees of UWV has been nominated for a Customer Media Award in the one-off category. These awards are seen as recognition in the industry for the best Dutch-language customer media initiatives.

In September, the University of Twente will be launching a new magazine for its alumni and business relations. And to assist in the production of the magazine the University has engaged the services of Hemels.

This summer Toyota surprised its customers with a fun gift: the Toyota Holiday Book, which was packed with games, drawings and quizzes for children.

This spring the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, Kamer van Koophandel, issued a pitch for its annual Startersmagazine. In response, Hemels developed a new concept and in July received the go-ahead to start work on the production of this magazine, which targets start-up entrepreneurs.

As a parting gesture to the discontinuation of the printed regional section of U&UWV – the personnel magazine of UWV – Hemels recently produced a one-time regional special: Wij samen (We together).

Hemels Customer Media is making a new personnel magazine for ARCADIS and all its employees working in the thirteen countries in which the company operates.

Hemels has helped Wageningen UR in the restyling of its alumni magazine Wageningen World (before Wageningen Update).

Wednesday, 24 February marked the delivery to readers of the first issue of Eigen Bedrijf, the new magazine produced by Hemels Customer Media for Kamer van Koophandel (KvK - the Dutch Chamber of Commerce) as a replacement for Kamerkrant*.
